For more than 20 years, The Reading Corner Preschool in Lutz, Florida has been a trusted early childhood education community serving families throughout Lutz and the greater North Tampa area. Our school is built on a strong foundation of warmth, consistency, and relationship-based learning—where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Founded in 2007 by Karen Green, The Reading Corner began in her living room with a simple but powerful belief: young children thrive in nurturing, intentional learning environments. What started as a small, home-based program quickly grew into something extraordinary.
Karen single-handedly built this school from the ground up. She wrote the curriculum, thoughtfully designed each classroom, and infused every corner with warmth and purpose. Her vision shaped not only the educational foundation of The Reading Corner, but also the feeling families experience the moment they walk through the door.

Over the years, it has grown into a trusted preschool community serving hundreds of families — yet it has never lost the homey, welcoming spirit Karen created. Children feel safe, loved, and comfortable here. Parents feel at ease. There is a sense of connection and belonging that makes this school feel like a second home to so many.

​Who We Are
We are Reagan and Amy Evans, parents of three children (ages 10, 7, and 3). Our youngest child, Austin, attends The Reading Corner Preschool, giving us a deeply personal connection to the school and its daily life.
Amy Evans
Background in higher education and project management. Passionate about nurturing, organized learning environments and actively involved in day-to-day school life.
Reagan Evans
Background in software, finance, and operations. Works behind the scenes to ensure the school is strong and sustainable so teachers can focus on teaching.
